The Mekong Delta forms both the far southern region of Vietnam and one of the country's two main bamboo baskets of rice, every year Vietnam exports thousand tons of rice to Asia and Europe. Dominated by the Mekong River and its many tributaries, the surrounding lands are comprised of low lying rice fields and rivers are bordered by dense fresh water mangroves, water coconut trees... The tributaries of the Mekong Rivers provide a comprehensive networks of canals so that boat trip is main means of transportation.
 The majority of Vietnam's fruits come from the many orchards of the Mekong Delta

Day 1: Sai Gon- My Tho Ben Tre: Cycling 50km ( L, D):
We leave at 7:30AM from your hotel for an easy 2 hour morning drive to out of the busy Sai Gon/ Ho Chi Minh City to Ben Tre, the new gate way of Mekong Delta, also the hometown of coconut plantation. The ride will lead you right on the narrow concrete paths through tropical gardens with natural canals on the right or left side of the roads, weaving through quiet villages, crossing rivers by bridges and passing nursery garden with thousands of young trees and bonsai. Keep biking to see the real farming life of locals with their hospitality and welcome...Stopping on the way to see how young trees are grafted... We stay overnight at Homestay and join to cook with the homestay owner.

Day 2: Ben Tre- Cai Be- Sai Gon: Cycling 60km (B,L):
After breakfast at Homestay we have an easy ride in villages to the boat station for a boattrip to see Cai Be floating market where locals sell tropical fruits and vegetagle, we can recognize what they sell from the top of the bamboo poles for advertising in front of the boats. Stopping in river villages and taking a short walk around to see how to make coconut candy, pop-rice( rice crispy),...Lunch at local restaurant and taking the afternoon bike ride around Cai Be, heading to Sai Gon/Hochiminh City.  
 The end of the trip!
